Dollars Up; Euro, Pound, Yen and Shekel Down

The official value of the shekel declined an average of .105 percent, Friday, in trading against the other currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list. The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.884, up .31 percent, while the Euro declined .357 percent to 5.0013 shekels.

The pound sterling was set at NIS 6.2496, down .128 percent, while 100 Japanese yen rose .019 percent to 4.8391. The Canadian dollar was set at 3.8948 shekels, up .589 percent, while its Australian counterpart rose .234 percent to NIS 4.0299 and the South African Rand was fixed at .4482 shekels, up .358.
