Shekel, Pound Stronger; Dollars Mixed Against Yen, Euro

The official value of the shekel rose an average of .334 percent, Thursday, against the other featured currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list. The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.872, down .155 percent, while the Euro declined .442 percent to 5.0192 shekels.

The pound sterling was set at NIS 6.2576, up .149 percent, while 100 Japanese yen fell .375 percent to 4.8382 shekels. The Canadian dollar slipped .383 percent to parity with its American counterpart, while the Australian dollar was fixed at NIS 4.0205, down .139 percent. The South African Rand edged up .045 percent to .4466 shekels, while the Swedish Krona fell .989 percent to NIS .5809.
