Mendy Cahan, the founder and director of YUNG YiDiSH will be one of the Israeli guest speakers at the Yiddish at UNESCO event in Paris, France. A panel of experts from around the world will discuss the continuing rise in popularity of the language and culture of the Ashkenazi Eastern European Jewish community. YUNG YiDiSH holds weekly klezmer jam sessions and discussion groups on Yiddish literature and music, attracting a wide range of people. The Yiddish at UNESCO will take place November 2 and 13th. UNESCO is the United Nations Organization for Education, Science and Culture.
