Family, friends and colleagues held a prayer vigil for the recovery of Rabbi Yaakov Yosef on Wednesday. The influential and venerated religious leader is currently battling a serious illness. The prayers were held at the grave site of former Chief Rabbi of Israel Rabbi Mordechai Eliyahu in Jerusalem. Among the participants were Rabbi Yosef Eliyahu, Rabbi David Basri, Member of Knesset Dr. Michael Ben-Ari and others. Rabbi Yosef is the eldest son of former Chief Rabbi of Israel Rabbi Ovadia Yosef. His brothers, also rabbinical leaders attended as well.
