Hundreds are expected at the annual memorial for Rabbi Meir Kahane. Member of Knesset Dr. Michael Ben-Ari will be among the speakers as well as family members and colleagues. Rabbi Kahane was a Member of Knesset in the mid-1980s. He advocated paying Arabs in Israel to be repatriated to their indigenous countries of origin. He founded the Jewish Defense League in the United States in the 1960s which protested on behalf of Soviet Jewry. He was assassinated in 1990 by Arab terrorists affiliated with the group that later bombed the World Trade Center in 1993. The memorial event will take place Thursday evening November 1st at Heichal David in Jerusalem.
