'Hurricane Sandy May Have Effects on the Election'

Marc Zell, the Chair of the Republican Party in Israel, said on Tuesday that Hurricane Sandy may have far-reaching effects on the presidential election. Zell told Arutz Sheva the storm is a chance for the president to show leadership but may also attract a lot of criticism.

“I do not believe there will be major changes in the decisions of citizens in the wake of the storm, but there is no doubt that the president is trying to appear as a leader who controls the situation,” said Zell, adding, “On the other hand there are also blunders as there were during Hurricane Katrina. The storm warnings were not accurate. That hass caused uncertainty among the public.”
