U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton and E.U. foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton appeared together Wednesday at a news conference in Sarajevo where they spoke about the situation in Iran, seeming hopeful that the promise of renewed negotiations may end the nuclear standoff. 

They said diplomatic and economic pressure would persist until an agreement is reached over Iran's nuclear activity.
