Some 10,000 flights have been canceled due to the Hurricane Sandy which has affected New York, New Jersey and surround areas in the United States, Yediot Achronot news reported Tuesday. Haaretz reported that all El Al, United-Continental and Delta flights to and from New York were canceled. All airplanes headed toward New York and Philadelphia remained in Israel on Monday and most flights on Tuesday will be canceled as well.
