Journalist Merav Michaeli announced, Tuesday, that she would run for a place on the Labor ballot in the January Knesset election. Michaeli joins Mickey Rosenthal as journalists trying to break onto the Labor list.

Party chairwoman Shelly Yechimovich was a radio reporter before entering the Knesset. Labor Knesset member Daniel Ben-Simon was a print journalist.
