Rachel Attias, the only survivor of a car accident near Tiberias in which her parents and siblings were killed five months ago, celebrated her eighth birthday on Monday.

The celebration took place with family members in the community of Bar Yochai, where Rachel grew up. A relative told Arutz Sheva that the birthday was a happy and exciting one.

“It was a happy birthday and we celebrated with all the extended family,” he said, adding, “The pain rises at every opportunity, but we must be happy, if not for us then for little Rachel.”
