The Health Ministry decided, Sunday, that the painkiller Optalgin will continue to be sold in Israel without a prescription. The decision followed a probe by a special committee on three patients who suffered damage to their bone marrow after taking the drug.

The examination did not reach any definitive conclusions but medical staffs will be instructed to monitor special side effects.
