MK Yaakov “Ketzaleh” Katz (Ichud Leumi) said Sunday that he believes the Likud-Yisrael Beyteinu merger will be good for his party and the Jewish Home party, which also plan to run together.
“They thought their party was considered traditional, and now it has turned Ashkenazi-secular, almost anti-religious, before their eyes,” he said of the Likud. “Their union will strengthen our union. The kippah-wearers will return home.”
