Parents to students at the Tzemach Sade public school in Maaleh Adumim reported to Arutz Sheva that the school is requiring them to attend an evening event in memory of slain Prime Minister Yitzchak Rabin. They said a letter from the school warned that parents who did not attend would face “sanctions.”
Workers in the school administration chose not to respond to the report. Education Ministry officials said they had looked into the matter, and “while it was stated that parents are required to attend, it is not obligatory, and there will be no sanctions against the parents or students.”
