Vice Prime Minister Silvan Shalom paid a visit Sunday to a tent that the Yesha (Judea and Samaria) Council has set up outside the Prime Minister’s Office in Jerusalem. Yesha heads are calling on the government to adopt the Levy Report, which found that Israeli settlement in Judea and Samaria is legal.
Shalom told the protesters that he believes in their cause. “Unfortunately, the previous administration promoted the report by Talia Sasson of Meretz,” he said. “For that reason, we must work intensively to approve this report before the current administration’s term ends.”
