The government voted unanimously Sunday to approve a measure to reinforce all buildings in Israeli towns located 4.5-7 kilometers from Gaza. The cost of reinforcement is expected to be 270 million shekels; the Prime Minister has 30 days to decide where the money will come from.
Towns close to Gaza cannot be protected by the Iron Dome system, which takes several seconds to shoot down incoming rockets.
