Rabbi Shai Peron, head of the Petach Tikva yeshiva institutes, explained Sunday why he has decided to join Yair Lapid’s Yesh Atid party. “The time has come to stop using hate and polarization, to get rid of the hate that has sustained politics and to talk about the future – not just of what is important to me, but of what country our children and future generations will live in,” he said at a press conference.
“The time has come to talk about connections, and through different connections, to create an Israeli society made up of people who worry about the future more than they worry about themselves,” he added.
