Following a number of reports of businesses in Jerusalem falsely advertising themselves as kosher, Rabbi Eliyahu Schlesinger of the Jerusalem Rabbinate warned diners to only eat at restaurants with a certificate of kashrut and not to trust those who claim to be kosher but cannot produce a certificate.
