Former Kadima party leader Tzipi Livni reacted, Thursday evening, to the union of the Likud and Yisrael Beytenu lists in the upcoming Knesset election by saying, "Today it is clear that the struggle is for the future, image and moral character of the state of Israel. The choice is between an isolated extremist state and a sane Zionist state." She continued, "I was born in the Herut movement [Likud forerunner -ed.]. I know the values the Likud is supposed to represent and abandoned. The choice should not be between the edges and the extremes, but between the extremes and the Zionist center, which believes in a Jewish, democratic and balanced Israel."
Livni is expected to announce, this weekend, what her plans are for the election.
