Ha'atzma'ut: Level-Headed Leadership - Only Barak

Chairwoman Einat Wilf of the Ha'atzma'ut party's response team said, Thursday evening, "The announcement of the union between the Likud and Yisrael Beytenu parties raises the possibility of disturbing extremism on the right and in the ruling party, and makes it clear that level-headed and responsible leadership, which is not to the left and not to the right, and which has the experience necessary to lead the country is found only in the Ha'atzma'ut party headed by Ehud Barak."

A Likud-Yisrael Beytenu bloc could contain 50 of the 61 Knesset seats needed to form a simple majority. Polls have indicated that Ha'atzma'ut might not pull enough votes to qualify for representation in the next Knesset.
