Deputy PM Moshe Ya’alonsays Gaza strip has become ‘Hamastan’, and ridding it of terrorist activity is “not a one-shot deal”.
Ya’alon told Kol Yisrael radio that the government is committed to the safety of the residents of southern Israel, “no matter how long it takes”. Ya’alon stressed that Israel does not negotiate with Hamas, “They begged Egypt to broker a ceasefire. If they hold their fire, so will we. Terror will be met with a harsh response.”
