An Arab man who says he formerly served as an informant working for Israel’s security services has claimed that land in the Israeli community of Alfei Menashe in Samaria (Shomron) is rightfully his. The man has filed a suit claiming that signatures on the sale documents were not valid, and asking the court to prevent the Lands Administration from registering the land to new buyers.
The land is to be used for a construction project including the building of 23 new homes. The land was purchased from an Israeli Arab man who bought it from a Palestinian Authority Arab man; the plaintiff claims that the PA seller sold it to him.
