Carter: Morsi has 'Suggestions' on Peace Treaty

Egypt's President Mohamed Morsi has "suggestions" for a change to his country's peace treaty with Israel, but will not implement them unilaterally, US former president Jimmy Carter said on Tuesday, according to AFP.

"I have talked with President Morsi about the peace treaty between Israel and Egypt... and he has assured me that it would be honored by Egypt," Carter said in Cairo.

"He has suggestions for change, he told me this, and he understands also that any change in the treaty has to be approved by both sides. If it is done unilaterally by Egypt or Israel, the treaty would be destroyed."
