A poll conducted by the Smith Institute among 612 of the Jewish Home party's registered members shows Naftali Bennett leading in the race for chairman, with 57% support versus 29% for Zevulun Orlev.
The remaining 14% were undecided.
The poll was conducted Monday, and appears to show that Bennett's lead has not been damaged by Minister Daniel Hershkowitz's decision to bow out of the race. A previous Smith poll, three weeks ago, gave Bennett 55% support. That poll was ordered by Bennett, according to a source in the Jewish Home.
