Modest to moderate gains were posted on most indices of the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange as international traders got in on the action, Monday morning, following Sunday's dismal domestic day. About half an hour into the session, the TA Composite Index stood at 1,055.03 up .13 percent, while the same percentage increase meant a 1,063.12 posting for the TA 100, including a .02-percent pickup to 1,199.44 by the Maof 25 most-widely-invested issues. The 50 stocks just outside the TA 100 rose .24 percent to 395.43.
Leading the gainers was the oil and natural-gas index, which climbed 1.82 percent to 1,072.77, followed by the real estate issues, which stood at 280.44, up .63 percent. The insurance stocks rose .63 percent to 1,008.04 as the financial institutions stood at 955.53, up .52 percent, including a .31-percent advance to 1,054.17 by the bank index. The biomed issues stood at 785.64, up .18 percent, while the rest of the technology stocks advanced .16 perecent to 340.12. The communications and media index slipped .02 percent to 518.96.
