Hollywood Action Film About Iran Debuts in Box Office

The Iran hostage thriller "Argo" earned $16.6 million and took second place for the weekend, according to NBC news.

"Argo" is based on the real-life rescue of U.S. government agents from Iranian custody in 1979. The agents were working incognito in the guise of a Hollwyood film production. Ben Affleck stars in, and directed the movie. "Argo" was distributed by Warner Bros.
