Aharonovitch: Police who Shot Attias Acted Properly

Public Safety Minister Yitzchak Aharonovitch said, Sunday, that the preliminary investigation into the shooting of Raz Attias by police indicates that officers and volunteers acted properly and did not have a choice but to fire after Attias fired at them, according to Kol Yisrael government radio. Speaking in Jerusalem, on the scene of the national earthquake preparedness drill, Aharonovitch added that there was danger to a hostage.

The minister said it was impossible to know if it was possible to end the affair differently. He said he would meet with the families of Attias and his girlfriend in the next few days.
