The Health Ministry reported, Sunday, that it recently destroyed about 300kg/660lbs of meat and chickens in the Northern District, following an inspection of the  Ofe Tzfat (Tzfat Chicken) slaughterhouse.

It was determined that the meat was unfit for human consumption. The inspection revealed meat whose expiration date had passed. The slaughterhouse was also found to be operating without a production permit.
