The Cabinet has approved a series of recommendations aimed at reducing the cost of food. “We’ll do for food what we did for mobile phones,” declare Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.  A recent increase in competition among cell phone providers has led to a significant drop in prices.

“This is great news for reducing the cost of living,” he added. “After prices shot up from 2006 to 2008, we’re adding a lot of competition.”
