Arabs from the Palestinian Authority-controlled town of Awarta entered the Jewish community of Itamar in Samaria on Sunday to harvest olives. Verbal altercations broke out between the Awarta residents and local Jews.

Two years ago, Arabs from Awarta used the olive harvest to gather information on security in Itamar, then came back to brutally murder Ehud and Ruti Fogel and three of their six children. Last year Awarta residents returned for the olive harvest, bringing members of the murderers’ families with them, and several took the opportunity to threaten the Jewish community with murder.
