Food Price Findings up for Cabinet Approval

The Kadmi Committee worked several months ago to find ways to bring down food prices. Among other things, the committee recommended a double-digit reduction in customs on food items such as tuna and sausages.

On Sunday, the Cabinet will vote to approve several of the committee’s recommendations. One measure expected to receive approval is the establishment of new work committees that will be tasked with increasing competition in the food industry and making it easier to import food.
