Jerusalem police spoke out Saturday on behalf of volunteer police officers who shot and killed an 18-year-old man Thursday night after he fired at and lightly wounded one of the volunteers. 

Hours earlier, the young man wrote online that he and his 17-year-old girlfriend planned to carry out a double suicide.
