MK Ofir Akunis of Likud responded to the EU's condemnation of Israel's plan to develop 800 housing units in Gilo, saying, "No condemnation, aggressive as it is, will not change the fact that building in Jerusalem is a right and not a privilege. The policies concerning building in this city are Israeli policies that have continued since 1967 and as long as Likud is governing - they will continue."
