Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati took back his proposed resignation after President Michel Suleiman refused to accept it.

Lebanon's PM originally offered his resignation after the Lebanese opposition, which includes ministers from Hizbullah, called for him to step down following the assassination Friday of a Lebanese intelligence officer.
