The Israeli navy seized control of the Gaza-bound "Estelle" Saturday morning.

The ship, which is carrying pro-Palestinian activists and whose aim is to break the blockade on Gaza was taken over by the navy at 11:40am according to army spokesmen.

The army was forced to take action after numerous diplomatic attempts at stopping the ship from continuing its journey to Gaza had failed.
