Three Shas Chiefs to Meet Thursday Evening

The three-member leadership of the Shas party is scheduled to meet Thursday evening for the first time in preparation for the January 22nd elections. On Wednesday evening, Rabbi Ovadia Yoseph, the party's spiritual leader, chose former party chairman Aryeh Der'i and Housing Minister Ariel Attias to join current party chairman Eli Yishai at the top of the Sephardic-hareidi faction.

The information was provided by Itzik Sudari, a relative and close associate of Rabbi Yoseph, in an interview with Israel Defense Forces Radio.
