The mayor of the Shomron city of Ariel extended a welcome to Yair Lapid, head of the new center-left Yesh Atid party, who has decided to explain his platform to the residents of the city.

"I will be happy to host [leftist Labor party head] Shelly Yehimovich as well," announced Ariel's Mayor Ron Nahman.

Ariel's higher education campus was recently awarded university status despite the opposition of other university heads and its new theater was the subject of leftist performer boycotts.
