The family of 8-year-old Rachel Atias is filing a lawsuit in her name against the Shomra insurance company, the Hebrew-language daily Yediot Aharonot reports. The family is seeking 13 million shekels for the young girl’s continued care.

Atias lost her parents and six siblings in a horrific car accident in May 2012. She was injured in the crash. Her lawyer argues that between the injuries and the trauma of her loss, Rachel became disabled and requires constant assistance.
