MK Michael Ben-Ari may run for the next Knesset independently, splitting his Our Land of Israel (Eretz Yisrael Shelanu) faction from the National Union party. Meetings between Ben-Ari, his fellow National Union MKs, and renowned religious-Zionist rabbis have failed to lead to a compromise.
“If Ben-Ari runs with us, he has a guaranteed seat in the next Knesset,” said National Union head MK Yaakov “Ketzaleh” Katz. “If he decides to run separately, it’s not at all clear what his chance is to be in the next Knesset.”
