Israel’s first-ever program for Transport Engineering with a focus in Train Studies opened Tuesday. The program will be taught at Ort Braude College in Carmiel.

Transportation Minister Yisrael Katz and Minister for the Development of the Negev and Galilee Silvan Shalom attended an opening ceremony for the new program. Katz welcomed the new program, and said, “The vision is that citizens of Israel will be able to get on the train in Carmiel and get off in Eilat.”
