Yael Dayan reacted, Tuesday morning, to the vandalism of the tomb of her father, former minister Moshe Dayan, by saying, "I'm very sorry that it's like this after so many years." Interviewed by Israel Defense Forces Radio, she continued, "It's probably individuals. Every October, which is the anniversary of the Yom Kippur War and at the same time the date of Dad's death, the less pretty and more ugly things are triggered."
Moshe Dayan was defense minister at the time of the Yom Kippur, which started badly for Israel. Regarding the fact that 39 years have passed, the former Member of Knesset said, "I guess this won't stop. Someone who was wounded and took it personally that Father was guilty of something won't stop."
