Five Knesset members from the Kadima party faction plan to run on the Likud list in the January 22nd elections, according to a Tuesday-morning report by Kol Yisrael government radio. The five include Avi Duan, Otniel Schneller and Yulia Shamalov-Berkovich, who reportedly tried to leave Kadima a few months ago.
The five met with Likud chairman Binyamin Netanyahu on Monday to inform him of their decision. Arutz Sheva reported, Monday evening, that Member of Knesset Arie Bibi would be making the move from Kadima to Likud. Kadima is expected to lose three-quarters of its Knesset seats in the election.
