The Knesset Finance Committee on Monday authorized a NIS 530 million allocation for the Israel Broadcast Authority. The money will find the IBA's 2013 budget. The money was allocated after the IBA and the government signed onto a plan to institute financial reforms in the IBA, which for years has been losing money.
Committee Chairman MK Moshe Gafni (UTJ) said that he was glad that the issue had been resolved, because otherwise many of the IBA's workers would have been without a salary altogether, when funding for the group ran out.
