Deputy Chairman Ro'i Shar'abi of the Histadrut Labor Federation asked Communications and Welfare Minister Moshe Cachlon, Monday morning, to reconsider his decision, announced Sunday evening, to take a break from politics and not run for the 19th Knesset.
In a statement, written in the name of the union's Likud faction, Shar'abi said, "The Likud is not the only one to have lost one of its leaders, but [also] the public in general and the workers in particular. Minister Cachlon is a natural ally of the working class in Israel, so as far as we're concerned, it's a double blow. I asked Minister Cachlon to reverse [his decision], following a flow of inquiries directed at me since his announcement."
