Libya: Qaddafi Opponent Elected Prime Minister

Libya's General National Congress elected on Sunday Ali Zeidan, a long-time opponent of former leader Muammar Qaddafi, as the country’s prime minister.

AFP reported that Zeidan won 93 of the votes cast, trumping the 85 garnered by the only other candidate, local government minister Mohammed al-Hrari.
