Several parents of soldiers killed in the Second Lebanon War have begun a campaign against the return to politics of former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert. “We will not forget or forgive your irresponsibility as the Prime Minister of Israel,” they said in a letter read aloud on Galei Tzahal (IDF Radio).

“You were the one who sent the Israel Defense Force to war without understanding that he was going to war, with no planning, no goals, and failed leadership,” the letter continued. “In a normal country, someone who failed as you did would not only take responsibility and step down immediately after the war. Someone who failed as you did would be ashamed to show his face in public.”
