Arabs in the “triangle” region of northern Israel are concerned over a possible Islamic Movement takeover of their towns, Galei Tzahal (IDF Radio) reports. Islamic Movement activists have been appointed to office in the school system in the city of Tira, and the group’s flags can be seen around town.

Tira is known for being relatively liberal and secular. The Islamic Movement is affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas and calls to institute Islamic law (Sharia).
