MK Brigadier General Miri Regev, who was IDF spokesperson during the 2005 withdrawal from Gush Katif, commented on the recent barrage of terrorist attacks against Israel from the Gaza Strip.
"Islamic terrorist organizations received additional warning signals last night,” Regev said. “The Israel Defense Forces will not be deterred from retaliating against the various terrorist organizations operating in Gaza. The Hamas leadership that controls Gaza is responsible for any attacks from the area against Israel.”
“Some may think that Israel will be vulnerable during the upcoming elections. The Israeli army’s retaliation last night and this morning show the unwavering strength of the IDF. Gazans will not sleep at night if rockets continue falling on southern Israel,” she said.
