20 Bids for Ma'ariv

Twenty bids were received for the financially-troubled Ma'ariv newspaper under the tender which closed Thursday evening, according to a Friday-morning report y Kol Yisrael government radio. The bids are being reviewed by court-appointed trustees.

The board of trustees was hoping to improve on the 74-million-shekels agreed upon by businessman Shlomo Ben-Tzvi until questions about the viability of the publication and the rights of its employees sent the matter to court.
