The European Union intends to impose more sanctions on Syria to harm President Bashar Al-Assad's ability to fund suppression of the anti-government uprising. Diplomats in Brussels said, Thursday, that the measures will come up for a vote on Monday at a meeting of EU foreign ministers in Luxembourg.
The new sanctions are aimed at Syria's airline, weapons industry and government officials. Twenty-eight of them, including ministers, won't be allowed to enter Europe and their European assets will be confiscated.
