A crowd estimated at about 15,000 accompanied Rabbi Abraham Genachovski, head of the Chebin yeshiva, Thursday, to his final resting place in the "Shomrei Shabba" Zichron Meir Cemetery in Bnei Brak. Rabbi Genachovski passed away, Wednesday evening, after suffering a serious illness.
The rabbi was eulogized by Rabbi Aharon Yehuda Leib Steinman, who called him "very easy going with humans and with G-d. He always thought about Torah." Rabbi Gershon Edelstein noted that Rabbi Genachovski's dedication to Torah was evident even during his illness. Rabbi Edelstein and the Sanzer Rebbe noted that Rabbi Genachovski lived through the Tishrei holiday period to make up for deficiencies in the penitence of the population.
